The Ottena 5ft backless teak bench is a beautifully simple and adaptable seat that works in almost any setting. Hand crafted from solid eco-friendly teak with a fine sanded finish, it seats three comfortably at a neat 45cm seat height – well-suited to park pathways, sports changing areas, pool terraces, hotel gardens and open garden spaces where a low and unfussy bench is exactly what is needed.
The absence of a back rail gives this bench a clean and contemporary profile that integrates naturally into any environment. Despite its minimal design, it is built to exactly the same exacting standards as every other Ottena teak bench – solid, durable and genuinely luxurious. Also available in 4ft and 6ft widths to suit any space.
Where to use it
Fits anywhere – inside or out
The clean low profile of this bench makes it one of the most flexible in the Ottena range. Use it along a park path, beside a hotel pool, in a sports club changing room, along a garden terrace or at the foot of a bed – the backless design adapts effortlessly to any context. Anchor kits are available separately to secure the bench in place where needed, and the teak construction means it handles all weather conditions without issue.
Construction + care
Traditional joinery – solid teak, no metal fixings
Built using traditional joinery methods and assembled with the provided allen key bolts, this bench delivers the same standard of construction as every Ottena teak piece – strong, rigid and built to last without compromise. Some light assembly is required before first use. Anchor kits are available separately to fix the bench securely in any location.
Teak is naturally resistant to rot, insects and the elements – making it the gold standard for outdoor furniture. We recommend applying teak sealer to preserve the golden colour. Untreated, teak develops a beautiful silver patina over time – both finishes perform equally well for decades.
