In this latest blog, we will take a look at our range of fixed solid teak garden chairs. Taking nothing away from our folding chair range, which has its obvious advantages and versatility, a fixed chair will still give you the utmost luxury and comfort in your garden.
A fixed garden arm chair provides high levels of comfort but also gives your outdoor area a touch of class and tradition that cannot be rivalled. Our folding garden chairs have there place, they are great for smaller patio table and chair sets, perhaps where space is at a premium or if you intend to pack your teak garden furniture away for winter. However, if you have the budget and space a fixed arm chair cannot be beaten for style. Our Charlotte stacking chairs could be the perfect middle ground, more of this later.
Like all our garden furniture, the teak used for the manufacturing of our garden arm chairs comes from sustainable Javanese plantations that are strictly controlled under a SVLK certification scheme and monitored by Indonesian Legal Wood. No manufacturer of teak furniture in Indonesia can actually export their products without this certification, ensuring all teak used is from sustainable sources. Another great scheme that we contribute to is a tree planting scheme run by Tree Nation. This scheme plants trees all over the world from donations from businesses such as ours. For every purchase you make, we will pay for a tree to be planted. So, the more purchases you make, the more trees we will buy on your behalf. Our fixed solid teak chair range starts with our stunning Charlotte stacking chair. A personal favourite of mine, as I find this teak garden chair to be one of the most comfortable I have ever sat in. When sat to a table enjoying a late evening BBQ, there is nothing worse than being uncomfortable and not able to enjoy your burger in comfort. These stacking chairs, with their slightly curved backrest and fine sanded finish, are the perfect choice for any outdoor setting. They have sturdy armrest sections to give comfort and support when getting up from the chair. The slatted design of the seat base and seat back gives high levels of comfort while still looking stylish. The fantastic benefit of these teak dining chairs is their ability to stack together. This is your classic garden arm chair, perfect for high class dining or relaxing after a day at work.
Finally in our fixed teak garden chair range will be our Adirondack chairs. Not a dining chair, but a fixed garden arm chair all the same but these teak Adirondacks are simply the best when it comes to relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning, or something stronger on a Friday evening. Assembly of our fixed chairs is straightforward. Each teak garden chair is handmade. The arm rests, back rests and seats are slotted together using mortice and tenon joints then secured in position using wooden dowels. Each piece has a small numbered label to guide assembly. Assembly instructions can be found here, provided with a couple of helpful videos to also assist you in assembling and inserting the wooden dowels.
