Making room for garden furniture in Midlothian
Give each part of the garden a purpose
A table near the kitchen is convenient for meals, while a separate bench may suit a quieter corner. Sketch both positions and leave a route between them. Include doors, storage and the places where children or pets usually move through the garden.
Avoid choosing a table by seat count alone
Sets with the same number of seats can have different table shapes and chair footprints. Compare the full dimensions with chairs pulled out. If you use an extending table, mark its largest arrangement before deciding that it fits.
Agree the delivery details before ordering
Send your Midlothian postcode and describe any gates, steps or awkward unloading area. Ask whether the selected items arrive assembled or require assembly. Confirm where delivery ends and how you will take the furniture to its final position.

Sustainably sourced teak garden furniture
Our teak garden furniture is manufactured in Indonesia, using sustainably sourced Teak and supported by replanting schemes. Using timber that will last means you won't have to buy 'fast' furniture and replace it every year.
Solid teak and traditional joinery
When shopping for garden furniture in Midlothian we want to assure you that our furniture is only made from the best materials using the best techniques possible. Our teak comes from Javanese plantations that are very strictly controlled and governed to ensure the sustainability of them for future generations. A strict certification scheme known as the SVLK is in place to ensure the legitimacy of the teak we use and to ensure there is no foul play.
Using traditional joinery methods to construct our teak garden furniture gives not only a strong and robust product but something that looks beautiful. By using these methods we keep the use of unnecessary metals and plastics in its construction to an absolute minimum.
Timber sourcing and our environmental commitments
When you are looking for garden furniture in Midlothian you want to be sure that you are doing everything you can to help protect and maintain our planet and environment. The timber we use comes from only sustainably controlled forests and plantations and when it comes to delivering your orders our small family run business package the orders in cardboard and bubble wrap. Bubble wrap still provides the best protection whilst in transit but it is 100% recyclable once not needed anymore.
A fantastic initiative we have now introduced is a tree planting scheme. This scheme on your behalf will plant a tree for every order placed with us here at Ottena helping to protect and maintain our forests and plantations for future generations to come.
