At Ottena we have always wanted to be able to offer a bench engraving service so that a special message can be engraved into your chosen memorial bench to last for many years to come. We are now very pleased and excited to be able to offer that service to you on a range of our solid teak garden benches.

We have invested in a state of the art laser engraving machine that will engrave the surface of the wood to give a beautifully attractive dark finish to the engraving as can be seen in the example photos on this page. With its high intensity laser, our engraver can turn a teak garden bench into a stunning centrepiece to any outdoor location.

We are able to offer this service on our Catherine, Eleanor, Elizabeth and Victoria solid teak garden benches but due to constraints with the engraving machine and the intricate shaping of a Lutyens garden bench, we are unable to provide the engraving service on the Lutyens benches. We are working on a solution for this and will update you when we have a solution for this.

We are able to offer two different sizes of engraving from a standard width to an extra long engraving. The standard width will be up to 60cm across the top rail of the chosen solid teak garden bench and the extra long will be up to 90cm of engraving also across the top rail of the bench. We are looking at being able to offer engraving on to other sections of the bench such as the lower rail just under where your legs would be but once we are able to we will inform you.

The text will as standard come in Times New Roman font but if you would like something a little different please send us an email with your enquiry and we will see what we are able to do. The text size across the top rail of your chosen bench will be dependant on the amount of text required. We will naturally centralise the text to the top rail of the bench and the text size will be reduced to accommodate for high amounts of text if that is required. If you have any questions about the text you require please do not hesitate to send us an email and we will certainly look into how will be best to lay out your required text.

We are offering two different size areas of text for your chosen bench from the standard length of up to 60cm or an extra wide section at up to 90cm if the text required is reasonably large. We are very pleased to be able to offer this engraving service to you but please if you have any questions about the text required then get in contact with us at hello@ottena.co.uk and we will be pleased to take a look into your requests.

Delivery is super simple. Delivery on all items is Free on orders over £99 to Mainland UK. Extremities will cost more which include the Isles and remote Scottish areas, email hello@ottena.co.uk for a price. We aim to get all items dispatched from ourselves within 24-48 hours, often sooner.

Delivery are generally placed on a next day service, but can take up to 48 hours. Again, this is often less. You will receive an email from us when the items have been dispatched to you. You will then be contacted by the courier direct.

Please on receiving your items, visually check the item before signing for it to ensure you are happy with its condition.

All items are thoroughly packaged in house, we have a thorough packaging system in place to ensure your items reach you in good condition. If they don’t on arrival, please take photos so we can address this with our couriers.

We make our returns policy super simple in the unlikely event that you do need to return your items.

If any of your items are clearly damaged in transit, please firstly do not sign for them and have the courier return them. If this is not visible or the goods have been left, then please at your earliest convenience contact us providing images of the damage.

We will take all the items back that have been damaged, we will sort the returns for you, free of charge. Where we can get a replacement sent out as soon as the damaged item is back at our depot. You have 14 days from receipt of the items to advise us of this.

If your item is grossly not as described, we will arrange a return for a replacement for you or a full refund, free of charge. You have 14 days from receipt of the items to advise us of this.

If you choose to want to return your item, but there is no damage, and it is as described, then we are more than happy to do this within 14 days of your receipt of the goods. They have to be in the same condition they were received in, in their original packaging. However, we will ask that the return carriage will be paid for by yourselves, we will sort and arrange this for you.
