A memorial bench can be a very personal choice. With the range of solid teak benches we have to offer, there is certainly to be a style that will fit perfectly into your requirements. All of our memorial benches, like all of our garden furniture, are manufactured from solid teak. We have worked with the same manufacturer ever since we started our company 10 years ago. They source the teak used to manufacture our teak memorial benches from sustainable Javanese plantations that are strictly controlled under the SVLK certification scheme. Only teak that is certified as sustainable can be used and exported, meaning that no teak from uncontrolled plantations is ever used. Once manufactured, our supplier gives the furniture a fine sanded finish to give not only a strong and sturdy product but one that looks simply stunning!
Our range of commemorative benches starts with a simple yet effective backless bench. This may not be the most obvious of choices for a memorial bench, but for someone who does not want something that is too overpowering in their garden, especially if the area is relatively small, a teak backless bench can be the perfect fit. As with all of our solid teak memorial benches, they are available in 3 different sizes to suit your requirements. Choices available are a 2, 3 or 4 seat versions to fit in with what you need.
The rest of our range consists of what we would all know as traditional style park benches. With a standard design having a seat base and back rest there are a few different designs and variations for you to choose from.
The first two we come to are our Catherine and Eleanor solid teak benches. These benches are an absolute staple of our range and have that very traditional park bench look about them. As we have said, these benches are available in 3 different sizes and will provide many a happy moment spent sitting in that special location recalling fond memories. These two benches are very similar in construction with only a slight variation on design between the Catherine and Eleanor where the slat design and direction are slightly different between the two benches.
Next, we have our Elizabeth and Victoria solid teak benches. These are a couple of personal favourites of ours and our customers. Constructed to a much heavier a thicker finish, these solid teak benches are the perfect choice for a memorial bench that may reside in a churchyard or other public space where there is likely to be high traffic visiting the bench. These two remembrance benches are almost identical, with the only variation being that the Victoria has a slightly thicker curved design to the top rail on the back rest of the bench. These two benches are always a very popular choice and as you can see from the photographs, they look absolutely beautiful in there chosen locations.
To finish is our Lutyens teak memorial bench. A timeless design that we all know and love with that beautiful ornate back rest design giving it a very special look and feel. The design of the backrest is eye catching, but care has to be taken to design a plaque or engraving to fit the space available.
To personalise your memorial bench, we can also offer a choice of memorial plaques and engraving so that a special message can be forever placed on your remembrance bench. We offer a wide range of different sized brass or stainless steel plaques that can be engraved with just about anything. Our engravers are very good at accommodating what a customer would like so if there is something you feel you would like to put on a plaque then do not hesitate to contact us so we can enquire for you. We use a laser engraver to physically engrave into the surface of the wood to give a beautifully personal touch to your memorial bench. Different sizes of engraving are available depending on the text required, but another great advantage of the laser engraving is that images can also be engraved into the teak to add even more of a personal touch.
