As another summer sadly draws to a close, we can feel fortunate to have been blessed with some very hot and sunny weather, albeit mixed in with a named storm in the far North of the country that unfortunately one of our colleagues got caught up in whilst on holiday on the Isle of Arran in Scotland. It has been a real mixed bag but hopefully September will give us a little bit more sunshine before the inevitable dark evenings and clock changing heads our way!
As always, our fantastic customers love to share photos of some of their garden furniture in pride of place in their garden, on their patio or decking. Below we will take a look at a little snapshot of some of these and admire how good our teak furniture looks out in the wild.
First, we have one of our stunning teak patio sets that one of our customers now has sitting proudly on their patio, outside their patio doors. This table and chair set consists of one of our 1.6m oval pedestal tables and 6 of our ever-popular folding armchairs. This table is constructed, like all of our patio furniture, from solid teak and has a very chunky and sturdy construction with its pedestal legs to give added support. Accompanying this are 6 of our teak folding armchairs. These chairs are simply brilliant, not only comfortable they fold away neatly to aid storage when not needed or when only a few dining chairs are needed. I am sure you will agree it looks simply stunning!
Next, we were approached by the people who organise a local farmers market requesting some of our parasols to go into some picnic benches, so that customers can have a little shelter from the sun when enjoying some of the delights they have purchased from the farmers market. As we are based in the far south west, it was our pleasure to help the organisers of Truro Farmers Market with their request. The market is a great place to find food and local crafts (the bakery is exceptionally good) and with the addition of some parasols it certainly makes for a stunning location to enjoy some local fair.
Recently we have invested in a laser engraver and we can now offer a wood engraving service onto our solid teak benches. We are hoping in the coming weeks to expand this into producing our own brass and stainless steel plaques to avoid relying on engravers to do this for us. One of the first benches we did was as a memorial to a much missed loved one that was going to be situated in one of the late persons favourite places once complete. As can be seen from the photos, a name, date and a pair of swallows were engraved into the top rail of the backrest as requested by our customer. After the bench was engraved, it was assembled by our fantastic warehouse colleagues and sent to our customer. A concrete slab has been built ready to mount the bench on to so that it now sits pride of place in that persons favourite spot. As you can see, a simple engraving onto one of our benches can make a simply beautiful memorial to that much missed loved one.
And finally, what garden or outdoor area is complete without a garden parasol. Available in many different sizes and colours to suit all tastes, they can not only give that much needed shade and shelter from the elements but can give that outdoor area a real lift. Here we have one of our 3.5m octagonal wooden parasols in red (a personal favourite of mine). It not only gives some shelter but also injects a nice vibrant colour into your outside area. I appreciate that red is not for everyone, cream and dark green will outsell red hands down, but I personally think the blast of bright colour really does look good in any location and with any style of garden furniture.
