Measuring for garden furniture in Kingston upon Thames
Start with the chairs, not just the tabletop
Two sets seating the same number can occupy very different areas. Compare the chair width, arms and space needed to sit down. Mark the complete arrangement on the patio and test the route through it before choosing.
Decide what needs to fold away
If the patio serves several purposes, check which pieces fold and their stored dimensions. Make sure there is a convenient place to keep them. A folding label does not mean the packaged furniture will pass through every doorway.
Compare two specific sets with us
Send Ottena the product names, available measurements and usual seat count. Include your postcode and any narrow access. The team can help compare the actual specifications rather than asking you to judge sizes from photographs.

Our furniture is expertly built and manufactured so that it not only looks stunning but is also constructed to be hard wearing and heavy duty. Using traditional joinery methods our manufacturers hand craft and hand finish our products so that they have a fine sanded finish giving that stunning look whilst still standing up to whatever the Uk climate can throw its direction!!
Sustainably sourced teak garden furniture
Our teak garden furniture is manufactured in Indonesia, using sustainably sourced Teak and supported by replanting schemes. Using timber that will last means you won't have to buy 'fast' furniture and replace it every year.
Solid teak construction and joinery
Our garden furniture is manufactured from sustainably sourced timbers. Our teak comes from Javanese plantations that are strictly controlled and monitored to ensure their sustainability. A strict certification scheme known as the SVLK is in place to ensure the legitimacy of the teak and to ensure there is no foul play.
Our manufacturer has been expertly constructing our garden furniture for many years to ensure we can deliver our best products possible. Using traditional joinery methods and keeping the use of unnecessary metals and plastics to an absolute minimum gives both a beautiful product and one that is built to last and stand up to whatever the UK climate can throw its way.
Timber sourcing and our environmental commitments
At Ottena we want to be sure that we are doing everything we can to be as environmentally conscious as we can. Our warehouse team will package your order in bubble wrap to transport it to you, this bubble wrap is partly made from recycled materials and is fully recyclable once not needed anymore. We also transport larger orders on a pallet service to help reduce the amount of packaging needed.
The timber that we use only comes from plantations and forests that are deemed sustainable and a new scheme that we have recently introduced is a tree planting scheme that will help to build and maintain these areas. For every order placed with us at Ottena we will plant a tree on your behalf. A great scheme I am sure you will agree.
