The parasol
Elegant, practical and built to last
Here is the new 3m round green tilting wooden garden parasol. Manufactured with a two-piece hardwood frame and polyester canopy to give a beautifully elegant and attractive addition to any outdoor location. This is one of the latest additions to the Ottena parasol range – the tilting mechanism mounted to the upper section of the wooden frame allows the parasol to tilt to an angle of approximately 30 degrees to either the left or the right.
This helps in those late summer evenings when the sun is low in the sky but you still want to enjoy outdoor living with friends and family. This 3m round parasol is the perfect companion to solid teak patio sets and will give many years of protection from the elements. The canopy is raised with a double cord pulley mechanism and held in place with a brass pin that simply passes through the wooden frame.
The tilt mechanism
Stay outdoors for those late summer evenings
The 48mm hardwood pole comes in two sections with a lower pole section that can be unscrewed to make storage easier. Mounted into the upper wooden frame section is the angled bracket that allows the parasol to be easily tilted. With a single button operation the canopy tilts quickly and effortlessly to give added shelter from the late evening sun.
Construction + care
Single button – simple, quick and effective
The canopy is manufactured from a showerproof polyester material that gives protection from light rain showers and has a UV rating of 15 to give protection from the sunshine. The two-piece 48mm hardwood pole is more durable than hollow metal alternatives and more eco-conscious too.
The lower pole section unscrews for easier storage. Always use the release mechanism to return to vertical before lowering – never attempt to collapse the canopy in the tilted position. Close and store safely in strong winds.
