Not everyone wants a complete dining set. You might already have chairs you love, a mismatched collection you have built up over the years, or a bench that came with the house and deserves to stay. In that case the table is the piece that matters most, and it is worth taking the time to get it right.
Our reclaimed teak dining tables are the same tables that sit at the heart of our 4 seater dining sets and 6 seater dining sets, available on their own. In this post we look at all six, from a compact square table for two to a 2.2m farmhouse table built for Christmas lunch, and explain what actually sets them apart beyond the length.
Why a Reclaimed Teak Table?
Every table in the range is part of our Lifetime Teak collection, made from solid reclaimed teak. There are no veneers and no fillers, just thick boards of timber that have already had one life and have been carefully re-crafted into another.
That history shows in the wood. Reclaimed teak has a settled, seasoned quality, with swirling grain, gentle knots and subtle shifts in tone that make every top unique. Teak is also naturally dense and rich in oils, which is why it has been trusted for outdoor furniture for generations. Indoors, that same resilience means a table that copes happily with breakfasts, homework, laptops and dinner parties.
Choosing reclaimed timber also keeps exceptional wood in use for longer and reduces the demand for new resources. You can read more on our Eco and Sustainable Promises page.

Lamorna 1m Square
The Lamorna is our most compact table and a lovely choice for smaller kitchens, flats or a breakfast spot in a larger room. Its square top seats two for everyday meals and four comfortably when friends come round, with everyone sitting the same distance apart.
Underneath, angled legs meet in a cross-braced base that keeps the table rock steady while still looking light and sculptural. The edges are softly profiled rather than sharp, so it feels inviting to sit at and to touch.
Treen 1.2m Round
The Treen is the most sociable table in the range. With no corners and no head of the table, everyone shares the conversation equally. It seats four with real elbow room, or six when you want to make the most of a smaller footprint.
A gently chamfered edge and angled legs give it a quietly architectural look, and its round shape makes it a natural fit for square rooms, bay windows and open-plan spaces where the table is seen from every side.

Kynance 1.8m and 2.2m
The Kynance has the cleanest silhouette in the collection. Its legs are simple and chunky, set at the corners without bracing in between, which leaves the space under the table open and makes it easy to slide chairs in and out along the full length. The lightly sanded reclaimed teak keeps a relaxed farmhouse feel, while the overall look stays calm and modern.
The 1.8m version is a generous everyday dining table for six. The 2.2m version gives you proper hosting space, with room for serving dishes down the middle, and it is the table we use in our 8 seater sets. It is also the most affordable way to get a 2.2m table in the range.
Rinsey 1.8m and 2.2m
The Rinsey is our classic farmhouse family table. Its sculpted A-frame base, with angled legs and a central stretcher, gives it a bold, rustic character with crisp, clean joins. It is the table to choose if you want the base to be part of the look rather than something that disappears.
The 1.8m Rinsey seats four with space to spare, six comfortably, and eight when you squeeze in an extra chair at each end. The 2.2m version stretches that further for large dining rooms and big family kitchens.
Kynance or Rinsey? It Comes Down to the Base
With the 1.8m and 2.2m tables, you have two designs sharing exactly the same top size. The difference is all underneath, and it changes more than you might think.
- Kynance has straight, chunky legs at each corner. The open underside gives everyone more leg room and makes the table feel lighter in the room. It suits modern interiors and anyone who wants the timber top to be the star.
- Rinsey has an A-frame base joined by a stretcher. It brings a stronger farmhouse character and a real sense of solidity, and suits country kitchens and homes with traditional features.
If you plan to add a bench, both work well. If you want the most knee room for guests at the ends, the Kynance has the edge. If you want a table that reads instantly as a farmhouse piece, the Rinsey is the one.

Choosing Chairs for Your Table
Buying a table on its own gives you complete freedom over seating. You can match it with our reclaimed teak dining chairs, mix in chairs you already own, or combine chairs and a bench for a more relaxed feel.
A few tips that help any combination look intentional:
- Allow around 60cm of table edge per person so nobody bumps elbows.
- Check the seat height of existing chairs. With a 75cm table, a seat height of around 45cm gives comfortable leg room.
- Repeat one material. If your chairs are a mix, a common thread such as wood tone or a woven seat ties the look together.
How Much Space Do You Need?
Allow roughly 90cm of clear space on every side with seating. That gives room to pull a chair out and for someone to walk behind.
- Lamorna 1m square: around 2.8m x 2.8m.
- Treen 1.2m round: around 3m x 3m.
- Kynance or Rinsey 1.8m: around 3.6m x 2.7m.
- Kynance or Rinsey 2.2m: around 4m x 2.7m.
Marking the outline of the table on your floor with masking tape is a quick way to see how it will feel before you order.
Delivery and Setting Up
Our indoor tables travel by specialist pallet delivery, which is usually within 2 to 3 days rather than the weeks you can wait for room-of-choice services. Delivery is to the kerbside, so it is worth having a helper ready to carry the table inside. Some light assembly may be required, and on the Rinsey it is worth checking the leg bolts are snug every so often. Full details are on our delivery page.
Caring for Your Table
Day to day, a reclaimed teak table needs very little. Wipe spills promptly, clean with a soft, damp cloth and use coasters or mats under very hot dishes. Solid timber moves very slightly with heat and humidity, especially as the heating comes on in winter, so keep it a little away from radiators and log burners where you can. Over time the teak deepens into a richer patina that only adds to its character. For more advice, see our care and maintenance guide.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the tables solid wood or veneer? Every table is solid reclaimed teak throughout. There are no veneers.
Can I buy the table now and add chairs later? Yes. All of our tables are sold separately, and our dining chairs are available on their own too, so you can build your set over time.
Which table seats eight? The Rinsey 1.8m can seat eight with a chair at each end, while the 2.2m Kynance and Rinsey give eight people the most room. Take a look at our 8 seater dining sets for ready-made combinations.
Will my table look exactly like the photos? Every table is unique. Reclaimed teak always shows natural variation in grain, tone and markings, and that individuality is a big part of its appeal.
