The Lutyens bench was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is renowned for its rolled arm rest and curved back rest, creating a distinctive and elaborate design. Sir Edwin Lutyens was born in 1869 and was an English architect, known designing many English country houses, public buildings and war memorials, and of course the simply beautiful Lutyens bench.

Our solid Lutyens benches, like all our teak garden benches, are available in 3 sizes – a 4ft (2 seater), 5ft (3 seater) and 6ft (4 seater). We hope this means that your requirements are met. Your teak Lutyens bench will arrive ‘flat packed’. Assembly is a simple process following the small numbered/lettered labels you will find on each piece of the teak garden bench. Each piece has a mortice and tenon joints that will slot together before being secured in place with the provided wooden dowels. The backrest section has a couple of small bolts to help hold this together, due to the elaborate design of the Lutyens bench.
If you do not wish or want to assemble your Lutyens bench yourself, then this is not a problem, we offer an assembly service. If you choose an assembled Lutyens bench, it will arrive mounted on to a pallet, fully assembled and ready for immediate use. All you will need to do is simply cut the ties holding the bench to the pallet and then carry your new Lutyens bench to where you wish to place it. As you can see from the picture attached, we have recently assembled and oiled a bench for a customer as it was going to a churchyard to act as a remembrance bench to a much missed loved one.
