Over the past couple of months, we have been preparing for our peak season in 2025. From organising our first delivery of teak garden furniture from our supplier, to working hard behind the scenes updating our website. All systems are go in preparation for the better weather to arrive and for everyone to get outside enjoying their outdoor spaces.
Our IT team has been busy beavering away undertaking a full website upgrade and refresh. We are pleased to say, this is now live, making shopping our fabulous range of garden furniture a great experience. Keep your eyes peeled for a fresh new look and lots of new content to make your teak furniture journey as easy as possible.
We have been working with our manufacturer in Indonesia over the winter months to ensure the solid teak furniture we bring to you continues to be the best quality and workmanship. We have introduced stainless steel fittings throughout our range of teak garden furniture for a sleek new look and longer lasting finish. This will start to replace the brass fittings to give even more life to our teak garden chairs and folding teak tables.
Our garden furniture will continue to be packaged in cardboard, a recyclable material, to ensure that we are being as eco-friendly as possible. Our manufacturer has also made a vast improvement in shipping our products to us from Indonesia to ensure they arrive in tip top condition. Naturally, teak has a high moisture content. This is why it is such a great material for garden furniture. However, being wrapped in cardboard can sometimes cause some very slight surface mould to develop on some items of furniture. This is in no way detrimental to its quality or integrity. Our manufacturer has put into place better measures to ensure this is vastly reduced going forward.
As we write this our manufacturer is busy building our first delivery of the season, ensuring our teak Adirondacks, folding teak chairs and all our most popular items are fully stocked. Forward planning is key to make sure our customers have our full range to shop from once the sun begins to shine a bit more often. Manufacturing usually takes 6 weeks and then shipping half way round the world from Indonesia can take another 4-6 weeks, depending on what container ships are available. Our full range of teak garden furniture should be in stock before easter and following a full restock of our wooden garden parasols last autumn, we have all of your garden furniture needs covered.
I know it seems like at the moment all we seem to get is one named storm after the other and for those people affected by these storms it must be heart breaking. But we are sure the unpredictable UK weather will smile favourably on us come Easter time, allowing everyone to get outside and enjoy some time with friends and family.
Other exciting plans for 2025 will hopefully involve the introduction of some indoor furniture to our range. We have been in talks with our manufacturer regarding a range of rustic reclaimed teak indoor dining furniture. Watch this space!
