Before you choose
Choosing garden furniture for Dorset patios and terraces
Plan for the actual position
A Dorset coastal terrace may need different planning from a sheltered garden. Consider a stable base, local exposure and dry storage for cushions. If you add a parasol, check the specified base and wind guidance for that model; the furniture’s weight is not a substitute for those requirements.
Make smaller spaces comfortable
For a compact patio, compare a smaller table with the space occupied by its chairs, rather than choosing on seat count alone. A bench can provide a separate resting place if it leaves a usable route. Measure the access to the garden before committing to the arrangement.
For care and finish advice, read our teak furniture care guide. For the full product ranges, use our patio sets, garden benches and garden chairs collections.

Sustainably sourced teak garden furniture
Our teak garden furniture is manufactured in Indonesia, using sustainably sourced Teak and supported by replanting schemes. Using timber that will last means you won't have to buy 'fast' furniture and replace it every year.
Solid teak and traditional joinery
We always ensure that our garden furniture is manufactured from sustainably sourced, solid, eco-friendly teak. This means that our ranges of teak garden benches, Adirondacks and teak patio sets are manufactured from timber that is only ever sourced from sustainable plantations. The SVLK certification scheme runs to ensure that all teak used is only sourced from these sustainable plantations. The scheme will closely monitor the use of the teak to ensure there is no foul play so damaging anything unnecessarily.
Our manufacturers with the use of traditional joinery methods ensure that our furniture is made to the highest of standards and the use of metals and plastics is kept to a minimum. However this is not always possible we always endeavour to keep this use to an absolute minimum.
Timber sourcing and our environmental commitments
It is becoming evermore important to be sure we are all doing everything we can to help protect our environment and planet for all of us and future generations. We are always looking for new and better ways to run our business with the use of recyclable packaging when sending orders out to you, using wooden pallets to transport our larger orders to help reduce the amount of packaging used. we always ask our customers to either reuse any packaging that they can or as a minimum to ensure it is taken to a relevant recycling facility.
To futher help in doing our little bit to help, we now have a tree planting scheme running. This means that for every order placed with us at Ottena we will plant a tree. I'm sure you will agree that this is a fantastic initiative to help secure the future of our planet for the future.

Garden furniture Dorset: buying and delivery questions
What should I check before adding a parasol to a Dorset patio set?
Check the table opening where relevant, the parasol dimensions and the base specified for the model. Follow the manufacturer’s wind and storage guidance. Do not assume a table or a heavy furniture set secures a parasol adequately on its own.
Do you deliver garden furniture to Dorset?
Yes. Ottena supplies garden furniture to Dorset. Check the delivery information for your chosen product and postcode, and discuss restricted access or a required date with the team before ordering.
How do I check the delivery cost and unloading arrangements?
Our published terms offer free delivery on eligible mainland UK garden furniture orders over £99. Large-quantity orders and offshore destinations can require a quotation. Some larger products arrive by pallet with kerbside delivery; check the current delivery terms before ordering.
What should I check before buying a set?
Read the current listing for dimensions, the table and chairs included, cushions and any assembly requirements. Check the returns policy before purchase and ask us about any detail that affects your choice.
Where can I find teak furniture care advice?
Use our care and maintenance guide for cleaning and appearance advice. Check cushion and accessory care separately and follow the guidance for the particular product.
