Why we started
We wanted to do it properly, and do it without the fuss.
We weren’t happy with what existing furniture suppliers on the market offered and knew that we could do better. We often found the process hard to understand and unnecessarily difficult. So with that in mind, we wanted to set out to do it differently, and that is why we founded Ottena.
Our ethos is simple: supply products built to last, designed to be used heavily without issue, and deliver a service we can be proud of. We’ve worked in furniture and retail for 50+ years and know the industry like the back of our hands.

Our traditional teak memorial benches can be personalised with stainless steel and brass plaques that we can affix to your bench, and even now engraved directly into. When we were personally shopping for furniture, we found a massive problem in the garden furniture market in the UK. Basically it was almost impossible when trying to find reasonably priced, sustainably and eco-sourced products that could be delivered right away and weren’t on endless wait times! The sun is shining now, so you want your furniture yesterday! So that’s what we decided to do.
