Wild Bird Care for your Garden

Here at Ottena we are always looking at ways we can expand and improve the range of products that we bring to all of our amazing customers. We are very pleased to be able to offer a range of wild bird food and accessories to help our little feathered friends enjoy your outdoor area, just as much as you do.

We have added a range of bird seed and fat balls to our garden accessories, coupled with a choice of feeding stations. We know that a lot of our customers are conscious about their outdoor space and helping to maintain our natural biodiversity is a big part of this. You will be able to find a product to suit any size of outdoor location so that not only the wildlife can enjoy your outdoor space, but it also brings many hours of pleasure to you as well. Coming into the colder months, we appreciate that it is now becoming less likely that we are sitting outside on our teak garden furniture but as I sit here today writing this, there is clear blue sky outside and the sun is shining brightly So, there are still chances to make the most of our outdoor spaces and making it a great place to be, for not only ourselves but the wildlife in our garden as well which is fantastic to see.

It is becoming ever more important to be more conscious about the wildlife in our gardens, to ensure that they have everything they need to survive and thrive. The addition of a small bird table with a couple of feeders mounted on it, full of nutritious seeds or fat balls, is something we can all do to help. In our range of bird seed and feeders we have ensured that we source good quality products that are not cheap or mass-produced. For example, the Peckish Natural Balance seed mix is made from 100% UK sourced ingredients and comes in plastic free packaging, making it an absolute win-win for everyone!

At Ottena we are pleased to offer two different bags of wild bird seed, from the 12.5kg Peckish wild bird mix to the Buckton’s 20kg wild bird food. Both will help attract our little feathered friends into our gardens and stop them from going hungry this winter. By adding two different types of fat balls, there is certainly some nourishment that our garden wildlife can enjoy throughout the colder months of the year. Fat balls are great through the winter time, keeping birdlife fat and full of song.

To allow you to feed these great products to our feathered friends, we have a range of bird feeders and stations to allow them to get the best possible nutrients going into the colder time of the year. We offer a couple of different bird tables. First is the traditional wooden bird table in the form of the Peckish everyday bird table. This is constructed from FSC certified wood and will add a very traditional look to any outdoor location. For something a little different, the Peckish secret garden dining station is constructed from metal with multiple feeding hooks and a mesh seed tray to give you a compact yet extremely useful feeding station. 

To help get some well needed food out for our feathered friends we have a couple of different bird feeders to fill with either the bird seed we offer or the high energy fat balls that we offer. These Peckish all-weather feeders are solid and well built. The seed feeder has a tough polycarbonate tube, metal feeding ports and an angled base to ensure food is moved towards the feeding areas. The fat ball feeder has a tough stainless steel outer, again with an angled base to move food towards the feeding ports. Both have a quick release base to make cleaning your feeders extremely easy.
