Charlotte Stacking Chairs – A Buying Guide

Our range of solid teak garden chairs is designed to suit all tastes and requirements with a range of folding chairs and also fixed arm chairs. As our folding garden chairs are probably our best selling garden chairs, our range of fixed arm chairs can get a little overlooked at times. This guide will run through one of my particular favourites in our teak furniture range, the Charlotte stacking chair.

As with all of our furniture, the Charlotte stacking garden chairs are manufactured from sustainably sourced solid teak that comes from Javanese plantations. These plantations are strictly controlled and monitored so all of the teak we use carries SVLK certification to ensure its legitimacy and sustainability.

Our range of folding chairs have always been so very popular for probably the most obvious of reasons, the fact that they can fold to make storage easy when not needed. This is a fantastic benefit but personally when it comes to real comfort and style when dining outdoors on that warm and sunny summer evening, when they occur, a fixed arm chair will provide more support and comfort.

Our Charlotte stacking chairs are in my opinion the most comfortable chair that we sell. With the close design of the slats and slight curve in the back rest, these chairs will provide hours of unrivalled comfort when sat enjoying a BBQ with friends or just simply relaxing with a nice glass of something after a hard day at work.

The main benefit of our Charlotte stacking chairs, and the clue is in the name, is that they will stack on top of one another to make storage much easier when not in use. Being able to stack up to 6 chairs together is a great way to be able to store these chairs away when not needed in the winter, for example whilst only taking up minimal storage space in your shed or garage. With the chairs stacked in an upright manner, even if you cannot get them undercover to store, a suitable good quality breathable cover can be used to simply place over the stack of chairs to help protect them from the elements.

Like all of our teak garden furniture, these chairs are manufactured using traditional joinery methods. The chairs are assembled using the provided wooden dowels and fit together using mortice and tenon joints. This makes the chairs extremely sturdy and strong, lasting for many years as pride of place in your chosen outdoor area. Assembly of our stacking chairs is very simple, with small numbered and lettered labels attached to each corresponding part of the chair when it arrives allowing you to assemble the chairs with ease. The wooden dowels are then knocked into place to hold the chairs secure.

At this point I must point out that the dowels provided will sometimes be longer than necessary and caution needs to be used as to not hit the dowels in to their entire length, only enough to hold the joint securely. Any excess can then be cut or sanded smooth. Due to the handmade nature of all of our garden furniture, there will be slight variances in each individual joint hence the need for dowels that are slightly too long, allowing them to hold the joint securely. Check out our assembly guide page where you will find tips and advice on assembling our teak furniture.

So, if you are looking for some fantastically comfortable chairs for your garden then look no further than our Charlotte stacking armchairs. These chairs are sold in pairs so please do not forget to order a minimum of two when placing your order. I am sure you will not be disappointed with what you choose as these really are some of the most comfortable and practical chairs on the market.
