Well, Thursday in our warehouse was an extremely busy day as we welcomed a much needed delivery from our supplier. Onboard this latest delivery from our fantastic supplier in Indonesia was a large quantity of our ever popular solid teak Adirondack chairs. Having been out of stock of these since March, we were both very pleased and excited to eventually receive our teak Adirondack chairs back into stock once again.
Our solid teak Adirondack chairs are probably our most popular product that we have to offer, and is also probably our favourite too. Our Adirondack garden chairs are manufactured from sustainably sourced solid teak that comes from strictly controlled and monitored Javanese plantations in accordance with the SVLK certification scheme to ensure the teak is sustainable. These Adirondack chairs are the perfect addition to any outdoor area, offering unrivalled levels of comfort and style, available in various combinations. So why have we been out of stock of these chairs for so long? Well unfortunately it all stems from the issues that there have been around the Red Sea area. Normally our delivery would be on a container ship that would travel from Indonesia to Southampton via the Red Sea and through the Suez Canal. But, due to the ongoing issues, our container travelled down around South Africa which as you can imagine takes a lot longer to get to our shores. Usually it takes approximately 30 days to travel the distance but due to these ongoing issues, ours had taken over 42 days. This is frustrating for both our outstanding customers and also us as a business but unfortunately there is very little we can do to speed it up.
Once our container was unloaded into our warehouse we were then all hands on deck to get all of our outstanding teak Adirondack orders packaged and dispatched to our fantastic customers. We are pleased to say that we have got all outstanding orders dispatched and on their way to our fantastic customers within 24 hours of the delivery arriving with us, so soon enough they will be enjoying our solid teak Adirondacks as much as we do!
