New Tree Planting Scheme!

With an ever increasing emphasis on the environment and our climate, it is very important for everyone to be “doing their bit” to help out in any way that we can. Here at Ottena, we are very pleased to say that we are now committed to a tree planting scheme!

We are all trying our hardest to be a little bit more sustainable and environmentally conscious in our everyday lives. We hope you will agree that working with a tree planting scheme is a step in the right direction.

For every single purchase made with us here at Ottena, be it an item of teak garden furniture or a wooden garden parasol, we will plant a tree for every order you place with us through our partners, Tree-Nation. Additionally, following confirmation of your order, you will be invited to leave a review and in doing so, you can plant a second tree!

This commitment will have long term benefits to our environment in replacing trees that have been used for the manufacturing of garden benches and wooden parasols. As we know, wood is an extremely renewable material which when correctly cared for and managed, can be highly sustainable. All of the teak used in the manufacturing of our teak garden furniture comes from sustainable Javanese plantations which are strictly controlled by the local authorities in Indonesia, where our teak garden benches, teak table and chair sets and teak Adirondack chairs are manufactured.

The tree planting scheme that we have partnered with, Tree-Nation, are targeting to plant one trillion, yes that’s one “trillion” trees by 2050. Therefore, in purchasing your teak garden furniture from Ottena you will be helping to make this goal a reality. It may seem like a big ask but if we do something rather than nothing, we can all start to change our planet for the good of generations to come. With tree planting projects like this beginning to operate all over the world, the support of individuals and companies such as ours will help targets like this to be met and exceeded.
